Oct 28, 2007 - primitive way of life? I think the commentator is very much confused. Most of these people have sky tv, fridges, etc etc and every modern amenity you can think of.

BelligerentPacifist Says:

Mar 28, 2008 - defeated in one battle or two yes

BelligerentPacifist Says:

Mar 28, 2008 - yeah how do you define primitive? and is primitive bad? the guy's going in so loaded with prejudice its silly.

Crintingnut Says:

Aug 15, 2008 - Is the train still operating? It hadn't resumed when I did the Pass ib 1981 and am keen - though cautious - to go to that fascinating region.

nwspirits Says:

Aug 19, 2008 - It was two years ago, but just for tourists, but there arent any, so we hired the whole train

Crintingnut Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - Shame really. Such an amazing region. We had to have an army escort in 1981 - then lunch at the base. In 1985 it was deemed too dangerous to enter the pass. The tracks went a long way down towards the entry gate but were almost covered by earth. Still keen to go back but ....

nwspirits Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - I guess its possible to go back, just need an pakistan contact man, as I have a very good friend there who organized everything it was possible, liked that experience to go there with this train and no tourists at all....

ramakantot Says:

Aug 28, 2008 - Nice clip I am an Indian..want to visit that place.

nwspirits Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - Indian from India or indigenous?

Oct 20, 2008 - Hi...could i get a high resolution mpeg of some of the train shots....I need to use them in a project I'm working on thanks

riazbaigbaltit Says:

Jan 13, 2009 - It is a good attempt to promote yourself not this pass or the ppl. I feel that you have intentionally tried to portray them negatively. The international politics or better to say, the Great Game, has tarnished the image of these good and friendly ppl.

NewWorldSpirits Says:

May 15, 2009 - I dont see any negative promotion of the local people here

786Noorkhan786 Says:

Jun 22, 2009 - Nice film. I'm curious, how much did it cost to hire the train? Is it a misprint, or has Hunza been moved since the last time I was there. Last time I was there it was north of Gilgit, in the Karakorams! Still enjoyed seeing Dera Khyber! Thanks!

NewWorldSpirits Says:

Jul 13, 2009 - well, a film is also a short glimpse of a long trip, so how to get from the kyber pass to hunza is just not mentioned, but of course its not right there. thanks for watching. cheers nws

ordjay Says:

Jan 13, 2011 - Nice to see this. Sorry to be picky but maybe you could have said "traditional" instead of `primitive`? Nevertheless spectacular landscape. I went through there in Jan 1978. Best wishes

NewWorldSpirits Says:

Jan 13, 2011 - @ordjay thanks for the comment, I should have thought while we did the voice over, its true, cant change it anymore though...

rishknan Says:

Jan 5, 2012 - did this train have both goods and passenger boggies.... amazing
