Jan 14, 2008 - I took my 1st train trip when I was 12...California to Oregon. It was a great experience. Took my next trip with my wife and infant son from Chicago to Montana. There is no other form of travel like it. A very unique, excellent way to travel.

May 28, 2009 - Yes, the original Canadian was by CP, and continued with VIA on the southern CP route. Now the Canadian travels on the northern CN route, and it was actually called the Super Continental until VIA cut most of its routes in 1990.

Sep 19, 2009 - I'm taking The Canadian from Toronto to Vancouver and BACK AGAIN! this Christmas. I'm salivating! I can't wait for this dream experience!! There is NOTHING like train travel. I had a hellish plane trip to Vancouver last winter, and plan on taking the train for now on. Costs more? Yes. But worth every bloody penny!
