Hunger, sanitation issues, jealousy(if everyone supposed to be equal, why does that guy have....X), the list can go on buddy. I've been to Cuba and saw all of these things. In Mexico at least people can talk freely, own property etc. Not saying Mexico is perfect, but the people are in a better situation than Cuba.

I've been to Cuba twice (Varadero and Cayo Coco), touristy places but heck I went into town and I was not impressed with the living conditions or the quality/quantity of the food the locals ate.
