Jun 20, 2010 - Wow I want to move there, today!
RobinBenzle Says:
Jun 20, 2010 - @dafiki123 It's definately an escape place. There's a video on my site called 'One Man's Dream' where I interview a guy who did just that - an American who picked up and moved there..

Aug 8, 2010 - I suppose everyone speaks spanish.....that would be a problem for us :-( I would love to live there.....simplicity is the key to a great life.

Nov 10, 2010 - i love this music to represent the slow pace of life there, but also the enjoyment, because often you can be relaxed but bored too.& the canyons had a good view, though look ten times safer than black canyon! we came by recommended videos, clicking previously on ones of angela and matt monarch who live there and love it! why are we watching? because they seem improved even just from moving, though their type of raw has brought them to a point of health already. mamma wished we could go!
dhaybach Says:
Nov 24, 2010 - they live for so long because of the ion charged air that's present there. It's one of the few places around the world where you can find that.

Dec 20, 2010 - The perfect climate(heaven)....To bad I was only 17 and went there to party for the fiestas de Loja. In my drunken stupor I met a 107 yr. old man, very well known and well fed by everyone. I swam in the river(the fountian of youth section),with that and good genetics you should see @ 37yrs of age. This is not a joke[drinking patito seco chased by tropico and that pilsener over sized beer]. "que chuchas''

May 4, 2011 - I have heard that there is a big American community over there? Not sure if it will stay as the valley of longevity anymore. For anyone who wants to go and live there you BETTER BE LOADED mate the prices of land and houses have rocketed up only because Americans dominate the population there (I could be wrong but thats what I heard from my mate who visited there in 2004 lol). I was planning on building an Earthship there but its impossible when land cost so much in this magical place. Peace!!
RobinBenzle Says:
May 4, 2011 - @fatguyslim Yes, there is certainly a faction of expats there, but it still felt very Ecuadorian. Just in the last few years, prices have gone up - but still very reasonable, comparitively speaking..
madidijuan Says:
Jul 19, 2011 - just really wish that people like you would not do so much publicity about vilca as you are simply leading to the destruction of the place. There are already enough soulless, fat, non integrating americans there and the crime rate has just spiralled out of control.....
seagypsyter Says:
Aug 22, 2011 - I agree with "keeping a lid on Vilca" so the culture there is not destroyed...but where did yuou get your crime statistics from?...When My Son and I visited in May of 2011,only a few months ago, I saw 5 yr. old children walking the streets , at night, ALONE, and when I asked the Taxi Driver WHY?, he replied," Es Seguro", which means "its SAFE. I just want to know wher you got the information on crime, so I can also gain this knowledge, since I am moving there in November,2011.
DougWardBlammo Says:
Sep 15, 2011 - @seagypsyter most likely from the US State departments brainwashing pages. Ralph Correa doesn't want to play the Empires tune so Ecuadorians, like Nicaraguans, Bolivians and Venezuelans are all on the evul kommie list. The " wiff us or 'gainst us" BS spans the planet. NOT for much longer ! Enjoy your new home. Pura Vida !
4everdiesel Says:
Jan 13, 2012 - @fatguyslim It's a shame that a pristine place like Vilcabamba is being destroyed by guys like Joe simonetta and all the developers that followed him and cashed in developing the valley , typical american greed and mentality . It is a matter of years that the place will be like any other polluted town in Ecuador , wait and see ! .
. . . . . . . because these video appear directly from youtube.com which we cannot control it.)
