Mar 2, 2009 - :-) You are jumping to conclusions my friend. I didn't say that I think emotionally stirring music automatically gets on my nerves. I myself made a video-art piece on my footage from Toul Sleng, and added the song "Kugutsuuta ura mite chiru" (yes, wrog language, i know, but the tune was rather fitting). Eventually I discarded the soundtrack and kept only the sound of my footsteps, and also stripped most of the flashy editing effects. Felt disrespectful making a spectacle out of it.

Mar 2, 2009 - To medesin: Given the hardships and enduring history Laos has experienced, I think it is more than appropriate for such music. This music resembles the struggles and past of Laos. Thailand would better suit your interests if you want the Western party atmosphere. Obviously Laotian songs would be preferred but this does the job. Well done...Im sure this piece means a lot to many Laotians who miss their homeland and will never become separated from Laos in their hearts.
