"Kings of the Rockpile" is a short documentary film produced by Alex Zuccarelli and Jonathan Ponder in 2010. The film focuses on life in a village of Polynesian exiles, now regionally famous for their carving and handicraft-making skills. The inhabitants of Pohnrakied Village on Pohnpei Island are the descendants of people relocated from tiny Kapingamarangi Atoll in the early 1900s. Featured in the film is the late Pohnrakied carver, Heyger Paul, who operated the successful shop "The Carving Spot." The movie was filmed in 2005. Music was performed by L. A. White, Jr. This is Part 1 of 10.
