When I lived in the US most people didn't even know it existed and when I told them it's in south america most of them pretty thought that we probably lived and hadn't discovered the wheel yet as most Americans who think most latin america is like that or something...

Nov 15, 2010 - @MoonOvIce I think of South American countries as culture rich, warm welcoming people, but also high crime rates, and extreme crimes like kidnappings and getting killing during simple robberies, and corrupt police forces that don't properly crack down on crime, often assigning blame somehow (Mexican police has done this frequently to Canadians for instance), etc. I may be wrong, and it's a shame, because I would *love* to explore South America for culture, food, nature, people, weather, etc.
