So we jumped on a bus in Samarkand and after an hour landed in the Urgut Bazaar, a cacophony of colour, noise and people! We loved it.

The day we arrived in Tashkent it was freezing. After visiting Khast Imam and walking around outside we needed a hot drink. Just opposite Khast Imam was a small restaurant. We figured they had tea, so we tried to order. It was a challenge but we eventually got what we wanted. Hot Tea!

Eating in Urgut Bazaar

We stopped off at the local cafe in Urgut and climbed into some Plov and Shashlik (how I miss shashlik). The food was great. We were worried we would get sick but in the end it was all good.

We were trying to take a taxi to Khast-Imam, Tashkent. Of course we were hopelessly lost and facing the wrong way. The taxi, instead of driving along the road and turning around further up, decided to drive along the sidewalk.
